New mechanisms for economic development – the territory of advanced development, Vladivostok Free Port, infrastructure, financial, administrative support for investment projects, attracted 2.3 trillion rubles of direct investment to the Far East. Of these, 2.2 trillion are private, the Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East, Alexander Galushka, said at a meeting of the board of the Ministry devoted to summarizing the year.
Thanks to these new instruments, more than 2.3 trillion rubles of direct investments have already been attracted to the Far East. Of these, the vast majority – 2.2 trillion rubles – is private investment. That is, for 1 ruble of budgetary funds we receive 22 rubles of private investments. This is the best indicator of the effectiveness of the application of budget money.

According to the Minister, a total of 611 new investment projects will be implemented, which will create 100,000 new jobs in the Far East. It is important that these new investments diversify the structure of the economy of the Far East, since 84 percent of them are not related to the extraction of natural resources. These are industrial production, agriculture, logistics, tourism.
“I note that 325 projects for 1.2 trillion rubles, that is more than half, are already today obligatory investment agreements with clear implementation schedules. 225 of them with the investment amount of 750 billion rubles were at the stage of construction and installation works. Another 100 projects worth 455 billion rubles are in the design phase. Already before the end of this year, 85 new enterprises will be launched (accumulated total) with the volume of actually implemented investments of more than 110 billion rubles and 5.5 thousand new jobs, “stressed Alexander Galushka.
Among the projects he highlighted such as the launch of a mining enterprise in the Natalka deposit in the Magadan area, two wood processing companies in the Khabarovsk Territory, the first phase of the largest in the Far East-breeding complex in Primorye, pig are complex in Kamchatka and Sakhalin, oil extraction plant in the Amur region, factory production of diamonds in Primorye, greenhouse complexes in Yakutia, Sakhalin, Khabarovsk, many small and medium-sized enterprises and logistics x complexes.
Recall that the issues of the development of the Far East, including the results of 2016 and prospects for 2017 were discussed in Moscow at a meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the development of the Far East. The event was attended by the heads of the subjects of the Far East, members of the Collegium of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, representatives of federal and regional authorities, the deputy corps and the public.
