The production of uninterruptible power supplies will be opened by DV-Engineering, a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok, in Primorye. The corresponding agreement was signed by the investor with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East. The products manufactured at the plant in Vladivostok will be presented on the Russian market.
The investment project is a joint venture of INSISTEMS (part of the LANIT group of companies) and the Legrand Group. The total amount of investments in the project will be over 20 million rubles.
At the enterprise for the production of uninterruptible power supplies, equipment will be assembled, the software will be calibrated and installed (updated), the UPS remote monitoring and synchronization systems checked, its operability checked and the output quality control of each product checked.
Alexis Konan, CEO of Legrand in Russia and the CIS explained that “production involves the production of electrical equipment for large infrastructure projects, civil and industrial construction projects, data processing centers.”
At the first stage of development of new production it is planned to assemble monoblock three-phase uninterruptible power supplies of KEORT series with a capacity from 10 to 120 kVA, corresponding to Russian and European quality standards. The work will attract highly qualified specialists who have passed certification at Legrand factories.
According to Evgenia Wirzer, Director General of INSYSTEMS, the Development Corporation of the Far East rendered serious assistance in ensuring that the project was granted the status of a resident of the Free Port.
“Now for a large number of projects in the Far East, equipment has to be brought from the western part of Russia. At the same time, the niche of local productions is free. We plan to take it.
The choice of a place for a new production did not accidentally fall on the Far Eastern region. The conditions for investment and development of industrial and infrastructure projects that the state creates in the region are truly unique. Here, convenient logistics and there are necessary personnel for our company, “he notes.
Denis Tikhonov, General Director of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East, stressed that the Corporation’s task is to provide administrative support for investment projects: “All parties are interested in the successful launch of new productions, their effective implementation and stable development. Business instruments and preferences of a special economic regime give a strong incentive for companies to increase their production capacity. “
New investments will be attracted on an ongoing basis. So until the end of 2017, we expect to reach the volume of attracted investment of 4 trillion rubles. Already now, 2.3 trillion rubles of investments have been attracted to the Far East, most of which 2.2 trillion rubles are private.
